Following their successful launch at Holland Village in March 2023, 88 Pocha has returned with delightful news that might make fans of Korean food grin from ear to ear: they have opened a second outlet at Kovan! Better yet, three new dishes have been added to their menu, and you can find them at both outlets.

Named after the 1988 Seoul Olympics, an epoch-making event for South Korea, you’ll be greeted with the Olympics mascot named Hodori as soon as you set foot in the restaurant. Similar to their first outlet in Holland Village, the new branch comprises both indoor and outdoor seats with iconic red and blue-coloured stools.

Besides crowd favourites such as Truffle Jjajang Ramyeon ($12.88++) and Kimchi Pancake ($16.88++), you also get to try their newly launched dishes: Spicy Beef Stew with Rice Ball ($29.88++), Spicy Cheese Dakgalbi with Rice Ball ($29.88++), and Spicy Chicken Feet with Rice Ball ($29.88++).

If you’re a fan of spicy food, their Spicy Chicken Feet with Rice Ball will turn your crank. It’s also a popular choice among patrons as chicken feet is high in collagen content, which is said to be beneficial for your skin. Also, the rice balls are indispensable for mellowing the lingering spice of the chicken feet!

A great way to cleanse your palate is to have their Oden Soup ($19.88++), which features a peppery and refreshing broth in a Korean nickel kettle. The fishcake skewers are the cherry on top, and you can cook them on the portable burner for as long as you want.

You can visit Tam Chiak Kopitiam at Kovan for Hong Kong-style eggs on rice, Korean fried chicken and more. Alternatively, check out our review on SODENG Korean Restaurant for unique K-BBQ duck and more in Telok Ayer.
