This Japanese Wholesale Grocer Has $8.80 Sashimi, $6 Sourdough Loaf And More

A-Price is a Japanese wholesale grocer in Tanjong Pagar

With the cost of living as high as it is, having affordable places to shop for groceries is always welcome. That’s why A-Price, a new wholesale grocer in Tanjong Pagar, has been turning so many heads.

A-Price is a popular grocer from Japan with more than 80 outlets in its home country. This is its first overseas outlet, and it brings many Japanese products. Just look at this wall of dry groceries: you’ve got everything from Golden Curry to Kewpie Mayo, all at attractive prices.

The grocer also has an impressive seafood section. Take a look at their sashimi, for instance: the Salmon Sashimi, imported from Norway, is priced at $8.80 per 100g.

If you’d like the entire fish, there’s the Salmon Fillet, priced at $40 per 1kg. But it’s not just salmon, as you’ll also find the likes of Unagi ($8.80), Maguro, Tako and more.

You’ll also find tanks of Live Lobster, priced from $29.90. They are said to be imported from Canada and sustainably sourced.

A-Price has a few frozen bakes, too, including the Sourdough Loaf. At just $6 per piece, you’re getting quite a bargain for this hearty bread. Alternatively, get the Shokupan at $9.50 per loaf.

We found this fridge loaded with Lotte Ice Cream, priced at $23 a tub. Flavours here include Matcha, Hojicha, Grape and more.

Even the Eggs here are affordably priced. A tray of 30 pieces will cost you $5.90, which is cheaper than some options at FairPrice.
