Amazing Hokkaido 20-itemomakase

We’ve recently rounded up a guide to cheap omakase in Singapore, but here’s a new addition to the list: Amazing Hokkaidoā€˜s ultra-affordable 20-item omakase, which comes in at just $69++. Each course entails one item, be it skewers, shooters, or hot dishes.

Working out to just $3.45++ per dish, the menu is chock full of bites that amp up this meal’s value-for-money factor. Dubbed as a culinary journey around Japan’s different styles of cuisine, you get dishes that span yakitori, tempura, soba, sushi, and more.

While the definition of ā€œomakaseā€ means you leave the meal up to the chef to decide, there are a handful of dishes you can expect from the $69++ menu.

The meal starts off with sashimi bites, then moves on to tsukune, including one with foie gras. After that, you get an oyster shooter, before moving on to yakitori.

Then, a selection of hot dishes and skewers, before the meal closes with two of Amazing Hokkaido’s signatures: ikura rice, and their new uni dog, a sushi-style ā€œhotdogā€ topped with uni lobes.

If you prefer to splurge, then get their $89++ Premium Omakase Set, with 22 courses instead. This gives you access to an aburi otoro skewer, as well as a wagyu cubes with uni and foie gras.

Do make a reservation by calling 6235 0212 at least one day in advance if you’re keen to try out this menu.
