Aqua Gastronomy Lets You Dine “Underwater” In Your Own Bubble Pod At The S.E.A Aquarium

Aqua Gastronomy at S.E.A. Aquarium

Having grown up watching movies such as Ponyo and Atlantis, the idea of dining under the sea seems dreamy and almost unrealistic. Resorts World Sentosa brings that mystical experience to us with their new restaurant, Aqua Gastronomy. At $98++ for RWS members and $118++ for non-members, you can now enjoy a meal against the backdrop of lively marine animals at S.E.A Aquarium.

Each bubble pod is intricately designed with sparkling fairy lights for a more private dining experience. With shoals of fish, manta rays, and countless other marine animals swimming around in the backdrop, the entire place looked like a scene straight out of Aquaman.

With individual pods to enjoy your meal, the set-up has never been more appropriate at this time of social distancing. While the dining experience may appear rather high-end, having your own pod means the privacy to let loose and chatter with your dining companions as you wish.

The ambience is already impressive, yet Aqua Gastronomy takes the magical experience further with their beautifully crafted dishes. Look forward to starting your meal with the Misty Morning Sea. It features a refreshing glass noodle salad topped with fresh chunks of scallop and trout caviar, adding a burst of smoky sweetness.

Also look out for the Shining Seas, a comforting main comprising steamed seabass, chewy clams, alongside fried Japanese pearl rice. The seafood is also served with shiitake sauce which glowed bright green under UV light, adding to the magical experience.

One of the highlights was the dessert, Treasures Of The Ocean, which came in a perfect chocolate sphere. We opened the sphere to reveal a whimsical combination of vibrantly coloured berries, seaweed crumble, and seawater caramel delicately placed over a light and fluffy bergamot curd.

While this dreamy experience was enjoyable, it’s also important to note that Aqua Gastronomy runs strictly by reservation. There will be slots available for six days a week, from Thursday to Tuesday at 6pm and 8:30pm each day.

For other places to get your fix of seafood, check out Shrimp Prawn Seafood and the newly opened Luke’s Lobster.

Address: 8 Sentosa Gateway, Sentosa Island, 098269
