Beautea, which made headlines last year thanks to its Song Joong Ki look-away owner, has opened a second outlet at Toa Payoh Hub in August this year.

What we know is that the store will still serve up their tasty bubble tea creations with a firm eye on affordability. The bubble tea joint was a hit when it first opened at ABC Market, attracting up to 30 minutes of waiting time. Popular favourites then include their Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk Green Tea ($2.80), which was much cheaper than any of the big bubble tea chains.

The man that has been getting the attention is business owner, Zhou Zhen Yang, who moved to Singapore from Chongqing when he was nine years old. The ambitious 26-year-old was supposed to open up Beautea with his then girlfriend, but they broke up before that managed to happen. Still, he kept the name of the store.

While I’m not too sure if they look alike, the fair-skinned individual does have a slight resemblance to the popular Song Joong Ki who acted in the popular South Korean TV Series Descendants Of The Sun.

Some individuals have reported that he looked exactly like the real McCoy, while others have said that they hardly look the same. But one thing for sure is that his bubble teas are definitely something worth looking out for.

To get through this Circuit Breaker period, check out our easy-to-make Want Want Milk ice cream recipe!
