Singaporeans were whipped into a frenzy when famous Korean fried chicken joint BHC Chicken landed in Singapore back in April—the eatery still sees queues today, so here’s some welcome news. They’ve officially opened at KINEX in Paya Lebar!
Located within Eccellente by HAO mart, this outlet has exclusive combo sets that see BHC’s signature fried chicken in boneless form, paired with other menu items. All sets also come with a drink of your choice, with options including soft drinks, mineral water and Glaceau vitamin water.Â
Available from 6 November onwards, this will be a great option for office workers nearby wanting a hearty meal.Â
BHC’s signature Bburinkle Chicken is featured here in the Happy Bburing Snack Combo ($26.90++), which comes with a heaping serving of bburing fries and a matching bburing dipping sauce. For the uninitiated, bburing is a cheese, onion, and garlic seasoning that’s savoury and subtly sweet.Â
Their Macho King Chicken, which is coated in aged soya sauce and a honey-based Oriental sauce, is also available here in the Macho King Kimchi Fried Rice Set ($19.50++).Â
The sweetness of the sauce pairs nicely with the light tangy flavour of the kimchi fried rice and savoury sunny side-up that comes with it. Piquant slices of chilli also add some punchiness to the entire meal.Â
If you just want pure fried chicken, go for a Retro Rice Set ($17.50++) and enjoy the simplicity of fried chicken, white rice, and a sweet and sour sauce.
Accompany your fried chicken combo sets with Original ($6.90++) Cheese Balls or Bburing Sotteok ($8.90++), the latter of which comprises sausage and rice cakes on a skewer in a sweet sauce, sprinkled with bburing seasoning.
That’s not all, you can also order Pork Kimchi Stew ($16.90++), Fish Congee ($12.90++), and Rabokki ($12.90++), which has both tteokbokki and ramyeon in a single dish—there’s a Rose ($14.90++) version available too.
Some of our colleagues tried everything on the menu at BHC Chicken: watch the video below to find out what they thought!
On top of BHC Chicken’s signatures, you can also look forward to Samgyetang ($22.90++), a Korean classic dish of whole young chicken stuffed with sticky rice, cooked with a healthy broth of ginseng, garlic, and jujube.
For all-you-can-eat Korean fried chicken, head to Pot Addiction, which has a $16.90++ buffet with unlimited serves of the fried chook! Alternatively, Kelim Dakdoritang is another famous Korean brand which has just opened in Singapore with spicy Korean braised chicken.
