We Found A Studio Ghibli-Themed Sengkang Home Cafe With A Cute Cat Named Totoro

Brew with Grace is a Studio Ghibli-themed home cafe in Sengkang

From popular Bali-esque Coffee Near Me to the more traditional Knead Kopi, home-based cafes have been all the hype this 2025. Another spot that hopped on the trend is Brew with Grace, a cosy Studio Ghibli-themed cafe nestled in Sengkang.

The cafe isn’t the most conveniently located, as it’s a 22-minute drive from Sengkang MRT Station. Still, the warm ambience, combined with fairy lights, wooden furniture, and calming Studio Ghibli background music, makes the trip worthwhile.

You also get to spend some time with the cafe’s resident cat, Totoro—an ode to Studio Ghibli’s Japanese animated film from 1988.

The menu isn’t the most extensive, but the items are relatively cheaper than most other cafes here. You can find classics such as the Black ($3) or White ($3). Both use Dutch Colony’s beans, which boast chocolatey and nutty notes. Go for the Mocha ($4.50), which uses the same blend, if you appreciate the combination of coffee and chocolate.

If fresh milk isn’t your thing, you can opt for Oatside’s oat milk; no extra charge is incurred.

Coffee aside, the home cafe also has a range of matcha drinks, including the popular Strawberry Matcha Oats ($5.50) made with Isuzu’s ceremonial grade matcha. Oat milk is the default for your latte, but you can switch it up for fresh milk as well.

Texture-wise, the matcha was smooth and creamy, topped with a light layer of microfoam. Instead of the usual strawberry puree commonly used in strawberry matcha lattes, it came with mashed strawberry chunks.

The Yuzu Matcha Oat ($5.50) came with a beautiful yellow-to-green gradient and was creamier than tangy. Real yuzu bits were added to the drink, adding a refreshing chew with every sip. We recommend this drink for a sunny day since the citrusy flavour is a great thirst quencher!

Do note that bookings must be made in advance via a pre-order form, and the cafe’s unit number will only be revealed once your booking is confirmed.
