Burp Kitchen & Bar: Glasshouse Cafe With Chilli Crab Pasta And More In Bishan

Burp Kitchen & Bar is a glasshouse cafe at Bishan-AMK Park

Set within
Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, one of the largest urban parks in central Singapore, Burp Kitchen & Bar is an excellent cafe to check out whenever you’re in the area.

Designed to let customers appreciate nature while enjoying delicious food, the cafe adopts transparent floor-to-ceiling windows, resembling a glasshouse. The cafe is also quite spacious, with seats available for groups of up to eight people.

Here, a must-order item is the signature
Chilli Crab & Shrimp Pasta ($20++). Linguine pasta is tossed with flavourful chilli crab sauce and paired with generous servings of juicy shrimp. The dish is then topped with deep-fried softshell crab for a nice, finishing touch. Parmesan cheese and chilli flakes are also served on the side.

If pasta is not up your alley, try their house-made soft-shell tacos! They offer a variety of filling options, but we recommend trying the Baja Fish Taco ($18++) or the Korean Beef Taco ($18++). Tacos are served on a metal tray, with a side of tortilla chips with nacho cheese sauce.

Both tacos are generous with their ingredients—the Baja fish taco contains an entire battered fish filet topped with salsa and spicy mayo.

Burp Kitchen also offers a myriad of drink options, ranging from milkshakes to hand-crafted teas and even alcoholic beverages. The Earl Grey Iced Milk Tea ($6.50++) is a good option if you want something that’s not too sweet, but if not, they offer healthy fruit smoothies at $10++ as well.

For alcoholic beverages, Burp Kitchen serves Drought Beers (from $8++), Cocktails (from $12++), and Hard Liquor (from $6++).

Burp Kitchen & Bar is about a 10-minute walk from Bright Hill MRT Station. Although it may not be the most accessible, you get to enjoy delicious food and admire the picturesque scenery of Bishan-AMK Park!
