This Jurong Stall Has Egg Mayo Croissant And Honey Butter Croffle From $3.20

Can’t Stop Eating Toast has toast sets at Taman Jurong Food Centre

It’s not every day that you hear about a cute love story about a couple who runs a coffee stall together. The owners of Can’t Stop Eating Toast, Renee Tan and Wang Lijun, first met each other at Toast Box, and they dated for six months before they tied the knot. Then, Mr Wang decided to open a coffee stall and Mrs Wang came to help him out later.

The stall is located at Taman Jurong Food Centre, which sees an abundance of drinks stalls. To stand out from the rest, Can’t Stop Eating Toast offers conventional breakfast sets but with a modern twist!

Their offerings include the Egg Mayo Croissant Set ($6.30)! This is the most popular breakfast set in the stall, featuring a small croissant that is packed to the brim with chunky egg mayo.

Another crowd favourite is the Honey Butter Croffle ($3.20). Thick slabs of butter were added to the warm croffle with a generous drizzle of honey. The butter melted and fused with the honey, which was then absorbed by the toasted croffle that was crispy on the outside and moist within.

Mrs Wang told me that they do not increase the prices in their food delivery app menu, so the prices will be the same whether you dine in-store or get them delivered! You just need to pay the additional service fees.

For some cha chaan teng vibes, you can get their Bomb Toast! This costs $2.40 a la carte, and $4 a set. This toast had a mix of butter and condensed milk.

A kopi stall is not complete without the classic Kaya Butter Set ($3). This set came with a stack of four kaya toast pieces that were stuffed with a thick slab of butter.

The set also comes with two half-boiled eggs, so you can dip your toast in it if that’s how you enjoy your toast!

The stall is located in the deep corner of the hawker centre, but I think it’s still worth looking out for this hidden gem. Can’t Stop Eating Toast closes early at 1:30pm, so do come early to avoid disappointment.
