Artbox has come and gone, but another popular Thai night market is setting foot on local shores. Chatuchak will have its first night market outside Thailand at The Grandstand from February to May 2020.

Like the OG, the Singapore Chatuchak will feature a slew of vendors peddling the likes of street food, handicrafts, and even antiques. As of writing, you can expect over 200 stalls here—with more to follow suit as vendor applications are still open.Â

For a dash of authenticity, a few stalls will be manned by actual Chatuchak vendors from Thailand. Hopefully, favs such as Thai milk tea, grilled meat, and pad Thai will make the cut. Personally, I’m holding out for stalls selling Thai banana pancakes. Literally no trip to Thailand is complete without trying those beauties.
As of now, some of the confirmed participants include Rooftop Barbers Studio and Chang Beer, the latter being a sponsor of the event.
As such, you can crack open a cold one and hang out at one of the 400 seats that will be erected around the festival space.
If you plan to make multiple trips here, you’ll be glad to know that there will be free parking and shuttle buses bringing you to and fro.Â

With a duration of three months, here’s hoping crowds at Chatuchak won’t be as insane as the ones at Marina Bay Carnival and Artbox. We’ll update this space once more details are made available. Let us know what food and merch you hope will be available in the comments below!
