Here’s a piece of news to get fried chicken enthusiasts excited for TGIF! CHIC-A-BOO will be having a one-day promo for their freshly fried chicken at only $0.80 a piece today. This hot deal is only valid at their newest, halal-certified outlet located in Woods Square.

Other deets to take note of is that this promotion is limited to two pieces per customer, and is strictly for takeaways only.

Encased by a crunchy and flavourful hand-breaded batter, the chicken meat is juicy and lightly seasoned—ticking all the boxes of how a good fried chicken should be. Cohesive with the founder’s mission of bringing quality Western food to the masses at competitive prices, each piece of chicken is priced at $3, or $17 for six pieces.

While the $0.80 promotion is meant for their non-spicy flavour, Favourite, there is also a Hot & Spicy flavour to choose from.

These guys are part of the Astons’ group and have been around for just a few years, but they have also managed to garner a huge fan base. According to a thread I’ve chanced upon on Reddit, this is largely due to the fact that each chicken is sent into a deep fryer only upon order.

Another reason why CHIC-A-BOO is well loved is their delicious range of side dishes, available at $2 each, or with set meals from just $8.90. Other than the usual suspects such as French Fries and Onion Rings, some unique sides include Sweet Potato Fries, Savoury Rice, and even Cream of Chicken Soup.

For those mourning the absence of twister fries from McDonald’s, they also have Curly Fries available on the menu all year round.
