First Look at Chick-fil-A: Famous Chicken Sandwiches, SG-Exclusive Spicy Chili Sauce And More

Chick-fil-A opens at Bugis+ with SG-exclusive Spicy Chili Sauce

In June 2024, the well-loved American fast-food brand Chick-fil-A had a pop-up at Esplanade, seeing fully booked dine-in reservations and snaking queues over the three days it was around. For those who have tried it and fallen in love with it, you’re in luck, as the brand’s first permanent outlet in Singapore is right around the corner. On 11 December 2025, the eatery officially opens at Bugis+, bringing its signature chicken sandwiches to a wider audience.

If you don’t already know, Chick-fil-A is known for its delicious fast food prepared with high-quality ingredients. The brand has more than 3,000 restaurants globally, and is particularly popular in its home country. We were invited to a media preview of their offerings, and managed to try the following items.

First up was the famous Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich (from $6.80). This dish consists of a whole, boneless chicken breast seasoned with a secret spice blend, pressure-cooked in refined peanut oil, and served on two toasted buns with dill pickles. The result was a decent chicken burger, just not an outstanding one—we think the best renditions out there have much juicier patties and stronger seasoning.

Then there was the Spicy Deluxe Sandwich (from $8.10), featuring a chicken patty seasoned with a blend of spicy peppers, as well as lettuce, tomato, and pepper jack cheese. Despite its name, there really wasn’t much heat to this burger. In truth, the main differences from the previous one were the added cheese, extra vegetables, and a slightly crispier patty.

We loved the Chick-fil-A Nuggets (from $6.90), which, unlike at some fast food chains, felt like they used real, whole-muscle chicken meat. They were crispy on the outside yet juicy and chunky within, making them particularly good vessels for Chick-fil-A’s six sauces, which you can see in the image above.

All the sauces packed a flavourful punch. The Singapore-exclusive Spicy Chili Sauce tastes like a classic local garlic-chilli sauce—spicy, tangy, and garlicky in equal measure.

Other sauces include the Chick-fil-A, Barbecue, Garden Herb Ranch, Sweet & Spicy Sriracha, and Honey Mustard.

Another classic item from the chain is its Waffle Potato Fries, lightly dusted with sea salt. While these skin-on fries may not be the star of the show, they are excellent fries in their own right.

Wash everything down with a Lemonade or Milkshake, available in flavours including Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate, and Cookies & Cream.

We expect there to be long queues when Chick-fil-A officially opens at Bugis+, so mark your calendar for 11 December and be sure to head down early!
