Get $1 Economic Bee Hoon At This Eatery Near Jurong East MRT

Chocobar has $1 economic bee hoon in Jurong East

If there’s one thing about Jurong East I’ll never get used to, it’s the hustle and bustle of working adults commuting to their workplace on weekday mornings. Here’s something to check out if you’re one of these busy bees: Chocobar is an under-the-radar breakfast spot with $1 economic bee hoon in the day. The eatery is a quick five-minute walk from Jurong East MRT Station!

A generous serving of bee hoon costs $1 here, with other options such as fried noodles and kway teow also available for the same price.

Having the bee hoon alone isn’t filling, so I recommend getting some toppings to go with your noods. There’s a good selection of liao to choose from: hotdog, fishball, fishcake, fish cutlet, sunny-side-up, braised cabbage and more. All ingredients, excluding nuggets, cost $1 each! The nuggets are the most expensive item of all, priced at $2 for a stick of three.

Feeling peckish, I got the hotdog, fishball, and fishcake alongside my bee hoon. This amounted to $4!

When I dropped by at 9am, the breakfast crowd had already thinned, along with fewer toppings left. Here’s a tip: head down earlier for more choices such as seaweed chicken, ngoh hiang, and fried chicken wing. They also offer hot kopi and teh at $1 each, while the iced version costs $1.50.

Chocobar opens at 5:30am every day except for Sundays, so drop by if you’re in the area with an empty stomach. Do note that the $1 breakfast deal runs from 5:30am to 10:30am!
