City Square Mall Has 1-For-1 Food Deals, Durian Buffet And More This August

City Square Mall has food deals and fun events in August 2024

If you’re looking for exciting food-related events and promotions to check out this month, look no further than City Square Mall. To celebrate National Day this year, the Farrer Park mall will be rolling out a bunch of 1-for-1 food deals, fun food fairs, free e-vouchers and more, throughout the month of August. Make the most of your time shopping and dining here!

If you’re a foodie like us, don’t sleep on their 1-for-1 food deals, redeemable on the CityNexus app from 7 August to 9 August. Choices are aplenty with varying cuisines, ranging from Taiwanese and Japanese fare to traditional Chinese desserts.

Before your shopping spree, head to Lai Lai Taiwan Casual Dining (#03-39), a Taiwanese restaurant offering hearty meals. For just $9.90++, you can enjoy two bowls of Braised Pork Rice, which features a bed of pearl rice topped with tender braised pork, braised peanuts, and a hard-boiled egg. If you prefer something to have on the go, get their Taiwan Pancake ($9.90++) AKA dan bing instead, which is also 1 for 1!

Alternatively, fans of Italian fare can make a pit stop at Super Dario Lasagne Cafe (#04-17) while shopping. The casual eatery is best known for lasagna, which you can enjoy in either of these flavours: the Super Dario Extra ($13.50) with beef or Luigi Extra ($13.50) with chicken.

Besides these listed options, there are eight other food places with attractive 1-for-1 promotions, including PastaMania (#02-21), Tokyo Shokudo (#02-39), and Hummus House by Pita & Olives (#B2-K5).

That’s not all: City Square Mall is stepping it up with their Food Fair, which runs from 8 August to 11 August at Fountain Square.

You can look forward to a wide selection of food, with various vendors such as Ji Xiang, known for their popular rainbow kueh, and the iconic White Rabbit exhibiting their wares. FYI, the fair takes place from 11am to 10pm, which means lunch, dinner, and snacks in-between are easily settled!

We recommend visiting the Food Fair on the first day as the first 80 shoppers, with any purchase at the mall, can redeem an adorable carrot pouch to pack as many White Rabbit candies as they want.

Love it or hate it, durians are now in season, and City Square Mall is coming through with their first-ever durian buffet from 8 August to 11 August, between 6pm and 10pm.

Even better, CityNexus members are in luck as you can enjoy the seasonal buffet at $58 instead of the usual $68. If you’re not part of the fam, take this opportunity to sign up as a member for free.

Here’s another tip for you durian lovers: keep your eyes peeled for a contest that’ll be posted on the mall’s Facebook page or Instagram account to win a pair of durian buffet tickets. Three winners will be picked, so try your luck to stand a chance!

With so many upcoming fairs and events happening at City Square mall, you may be spending a fair bit of time here. To make the most of your time, the mall also has you covered with their E-VoucherBack Treats: from 26 July to 25 August, you can redeem a $5 CDL E-Voucher if you spend $60 or $80 at selected stores, including Don Don Donki, NTUC FairPrice and more. Even better, a $10 CDL E-Voucher awaits those who spend $100 or $120! Do note that this offer applies to the first 2,000 redemptions for $5 CDL E-Vouchers and 3,000 redemptions for $10 CDL E-Vouchers. Each shopper can only redeem the respective vouchers once a day, and can combine a maximum of three receipts.
