CQ @ Clarke Quay Has New Lunchtime Promos—1-For-1 Grilled Fish, Free Korean Sets And More

CQ @ Clarke Quay has new lunchtime promos

Saving money on lunch is easier said than done for those working in the CBD, especially in this economy. If one of your New Year resolutions is to cut your expenses, we’ve got you covered with five new weekday lunchtime promos at CQ @ Clarke Quay, spanning Korean to Mexican food. Now you know where to bring your client or colleague for a hearty meal and a deal!

Let’s start the list with Hanjip Korean Grill House (Block C, #01-11), a fancy Korean restaurant decked in a spacious, sleek monochrome decor. You’re spoilt for choice here with more than 15 different lunch set menu items to choose from: rice, stew, noodles, soup—just name it, and they have it. Even better, one gets to dine for free with every three sets ordered!

Their Bulgogi Bowl ($18++) takes the spotlight here, featuring a warm bed of rice topped with beef or pork of your choice, and a variety of vegetables. Each lunch set comes with the must-have banchan AKA side dishes, along with barley tea or coffee. As a Korean native living in Singapore, this sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Noodle lovers can try the Cold Noodle ($18++), a perfect meal to have on a hot day. You get springy buckwheat noodles, tender beef slices, half a boiled egg, and sliced cucumbers and radish submerged in an icy cold broth. If you prefer dry noodles, you can consider ordering the classic Black Bean Sauce Noodle ($18++)!

Mexican food lovers can swing by Sanchos (Block D, #01-07) for filling burrito bowls and loaded quesadillas. Here, their lunchtime promo includes a main course and beverage of your choice for $19.90++! And just like Hanjip Korean Grill House, one gets to dine for free with every three sets ordered.

There are three mains available here: Quesadillas, Burrito Bowl, and Mexican Beef Steak. Out of the three, we recommend the Burrito Bowl for a good mix of everything: you get fragrant turmeric rice topped with frijoles refritos AKA mashed refried beans, crispy lettuce, tangy salsa, cheese dip, along with grilled chicken or sauteed vegetables. Then, cleanse your palate with a drink of your choice: there’s Lime, Orange, Pineapple, or Cranberry juices to choose from.

If you love Chongqing-style grilled fish, BBQ Box Prime (Block C, #01-10) and Monster Fish (Block C, #02-03) are here to change the game with their 1-for-1 Lunch Feast Set. For just $15.80++, you and your dining companion can each indulge in a whole grilled Qingjiang fish fillet paired with a side dish, a bowl of Japanese rice, and a canned drink.

You can also look forward to Harry’s (Block D, #01-01), with many Asian and Western delights to enjoy from their 1-for-1 Lunch promotion menu. The beloved Bacon & Mushroom Carbonara ($26++), for example, combines al dente pasta, bacon, mushroom, and a creamy egg yolk sauce. For a meat-free alternative, you can give their Pesto Mushroom Pasta ($23++) a try!

Alternatively, get their Chicken Tikka Masala ($26++), where you can dip the pita bread in a rich and thick masala gravy, and top it with tender tandoori chicken.

If you’re looking for a place to take a client for a business lunch, Mimi Restaurant (Block A, #01-02) is a great spot. This fancy restaurant offers a 1-for-1 on the 6-course Set Menu with Complimentary Wine ($138++ for 2 pax). Start your meal with their moreish appetisers such as Deep-fried White Bait Fish, and then warm yourself up with a comforting bowl of Double Boiled Chicken Soup with House-made Dumplings.

For mains, enjoy your pick from their Braised Ee Fu Noodle, Chef’s Secret Recipe Cod Fish, and Braised Seasonal Vegetable with Shiitake Mushroom and Beancurd. The former is served with springy noodles that soak up a sweet-savoury oyster sauce, while the cod dish is perfect for curious foodies who want a taste of the chef’s unique rendition of the sweet fish. And of course, desserts are a must—end your meal with a soothing bowl of Sweet Potato Yam Paste.
