Din Tai Fung To Launch Strawberry Mochi XLB On 1 Feb, Available Permanently

Din Tai Fung has new strawberry mochi xiao long bao

Popular Taiwanese restaurant chain Din Tai Fung is always hustling to launch new variations of the renowned xiao long bao (XLB). So far, we’ve tried the Chocolate Mochi Xiao Long Bao and, more recently, the Black Sesame Mochi Xiao Long Bao. This time, the restaurant chain is launching a new Steamed Strawberry Mochi Xiao Long Bao, available from 1 February 2026. Additionally, these dessert XLB will be on the permanent menu!

The Steamed Strawberry Mochi Xiao Long Bao will be sold in two portion sizes: $15.80++ for six and $20.80++ for 10 pieces. Good news: you can try the new item at any Din Tai Fung restaurant islandwide from the start of February.

Each dumpling features a thin, chewy mochi skin that breaks into a sweet combination of Korean strawberry filling and Belgian white chocolate sauce.

In terms of texture, it’s said to be similar to the viral Mama Mochi Chocolate Xiao Long Bao (from $12.80++), if you’ve already tried it. For the strawberry mochi dumplings, the filling is rich and gooey. Most importantly, it strikes just the right balance of sweetness from the white chocolate and tanginess from the strawberry.

Since the launch date is close to Valentine’s Day, bring your significant other or loved ones to indulge in these timely pink dumplings. There are 30 Din Tai Fung restaurants at the time of writing, so there’s really no excuse to miss out on this exciting launch.

We’ll update this article once we get our hands on the strawberry mochi XLB!
