As if the newest outlet in Changi Airport Terminal 3 wasn’t enough, Japanese discount retail Don Don Donki is slated to open another store in Square 2 at Novena on 8 May 2019.
Once opened, it will join the rest of the four outlets – Orchard Central, 100 AM, City Square Mall and Changi Airport T3.
To celebrate, the Changi outlet will be holding a giveaway where the first 1000 customers who spend above $50 will get a limited edition Donki tote bag. If past food-themed clothing giveaways are any indication, you can expect this tote bag to fetch a high value on Carousell.
Other promos include milk tea at $1.80, and the alcoholic Horoyoi Soda at just $5.90 for two cans (U.P. $3.90 each). You can even get Umaibo corn snacks at $9.90 for two packets (U.P. $5.80 each).

For those not familiar with Don Don Donki, they have a trove of exciting traditional Japanese products such as roasted sweet potato –  that everyone goes head over heels over – and affordable titbits. In December last year, they even released an interesting rendition of their famed sweet potato –  a sweet potato milkshake!
They also have a really impressive inventory of quirky items, ranging from yoghurt flavoured water to pudding spread for your morning toast. You will probably not find these outside of Don Don Donki because of how niche they are.
Currently, their biggest outlet is the one at City Square Mall. It has a dine-in area featuring famous food brands such as Naganuma Ice Co. and Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. There’s even a massive discount section with items going for as low as $1. One can only imagine what lies in their two new outlets.

Apparently, Don Don Donki is planning to open 10 stores by 2020. I’m just excited to see what other cool products they will have.
