We heard last month that Don Don Donki will be opening its fourth store in Singapore at Novena.

And it seems like there’s no rest to Don Don Donki’s rapid expansion into Singapore, with the launch of its very first “Sweet Potato Factory”. Opening up at the departure hall of Changi Airport Terminal 3 on 1 May 2019, we expect the airport to smell a whole lot sweeter.  

Donki’s smallest store in Singapore, this outlet will serve up products from its Japan Mobile Foods concept, such as their famed sweet potatoes and other sweet tuber goodies like the caramelised sweet potato and sweet potato milkshake.

Loyal fans of Don Don Donki should be familiar with their Baked Sweet Potato ($2.80). Constantly attracting long lines, these potatoes are specially sourced from Donki’s own plantation in Japan and freshly prepared on the spot.

True sweet potato connoisseur will also know that Donki uses the Beniharuka variety of sweet potatoes, which gives a honey-like flavour and velvety soft texture.

The baked sweet potatoes are prepared by batch, which can take up to an hour. But don’t fret if you’ve missed out on them, as you can still get your hands on their Sweet Potato Milkshake ($4.90). This creamy beverage combines the slight earthiness of baked sweet potatoes with rich and thick Hokkaido milk.

The store will also be selling some of their popular gummies such as the addictive Pure Gummy ($1.90). Made from 100% fruit puree with no artificial colours or flavourings, we’re a huge fan of these chewy and tangy gummies. It also helps that they are conveniently packed in a resealable bag for you to bring along on your travels.
