This Hidden Japanese Convenience Store In Potong Pasir Has Omurice, Oden And More

Every is a Japanese convenience store and cafe in Potong Pasir

I’ve yet to make a single trip to Japan, but I’ve always heard that Japanese konbini food hits different. Luckily, Every is an under-the-radar Japanese convenience store, located just a stone’s throw away from Potong Pasir MRT Station, selling a wide variety of Japanese snacks, cooked meals, and condiments, so maybe there’s no need to purchase that flight ticket to Japan just yet.

Previously, Every had a second outlet located at Havelock that has since closed down, so this is currently the only outlet in Singapore. They even have a cafe which you definitely have to check out!

Here, you’ll be able to find the typical offerings of a convenience store, including cup noodles with flavours such as Clam Chowder (TBD), Curry Udon (TBD), Sapporo Shrimp Miso (TBD) and more. For those with a sweet tooth, they have a range of ice creams such as Chocolate Banana ($2.50) and Ramune Ice Cream ($3.50).

They also have a cafe within the store that’s set up comfortably, serving hot food which is cooked to order.

If you love your fried Japanese snacks, you can get a Potato Croquette from $2.50, with different fillings such as sweet potato with chestnuts and cheese. Otherwise, there’s also Chicken Karaage (TBD) that’s crispy and meaty.

Alternatively, for something more substantial, there’s Oden ($5.50) which comes with sticks of fishcake, fish balls, and radish served in sweet dashi broth.

Other options include Omu Curry Rice ($11.90) which sees a fluffy omelette drenched in curry.

Or you can go for Gyu Don with Onsen Egg (TBD) which has tender beef atop rice, Tonkotsu Ramen (TBD) and more.

They also have store-exclusive condiments imported from Japan, which means you have no excuse not to jazz up your cooking for your next Japanese meal.

For more convenience store food, check out Emart24 for famous Korean snacks and street food! Alternatively, read our Folk Yard review for a new cafe located in the same area, serving thick sammies and coffee.
