Cinderella fans, heads up: Fairmont Singapore has a Cinderella-themed high tea from 1 to 31 March 2024 at ANTI:DOTE! The limited-time afternoon tea, Adventures in Storyland, stars a good mix of sweet and savoury bites inspired by Charles Seddon Evans’ iteration of Cinderella, which was originally published in 1919.

Start with the savouries, where you’ll find finger sandwiches in flavours such as ASC Certified Smoked Salmon, Roasted Pumpkin and Trout Roe, and Quail Egg and Truffle in a Butternut Bun.

Make your way to the sweet selection, with highlights including Apple Sable Tart, shaped to look like the Prince’s Castle from the book.

There’s also the Nespresso Coffee Hazelnut Choux, a pink diamond-shaped chocolate dessert complemented by rich coffee and hazelnut notes.

High tea isn’t complete without scones, so you can look forward to ANTI:DOTE’s signature Madagascar Vanilla Scones, paired with Devonshire cream, citrus butter curd, and strawberry marmalade.

For drinks, you get a Royal Highball mocktail and another alcohol-free beverage as part of the experience. Else, upgrade to the Carriage Pumpkin Sour Cocktail ($22++), featuring burnt butter-washed vodka, pumpkin-spiced cordial, and brandy.

That’s not all: the dining space is decked in gold, pink, and black tones as a nod to Charles Seddon Evans’ version of Cinderella from the British Library collection.

You’ll also see a huge “storybook” display right at the entrance of the bar, complete with illustrations from the book and information about the afternoon tea.

The experience is available daily from 3pm to 5pm, with an additional 12pm to 2pm slot on the weekends. It’s priced at $68++ per person, inclusive of two non-alcoholic drinks, while kids between six to 12 years old pay $35++ each. Here’s another pro tip: flash your National Library Board e-card upon payment to enjoy 10% off your bill!

In related news, read our Tsuta high tea feature, where you can get an afternoon tea set for under $20 per person. Alternatively, read all about The Great Mischief’s new afternoon tea, which comes with burnt cheesecake!
