February 2024 is Lunar New Year, which means there are plenty of opportunities to feast, but you’ll also be spending a fair bit. From shopping for CNY goodies, ordering yusheng for lo hei, to planning reunion dinners with your family and friends, all the costs can add up. But, fret not, because February brings with it a number of restaurants that are rolling out special dining deals so you can continue to dine out and indulge without worrying too much about the price tag, even after CNY. Here are 10 food deals to check out for February 2024.


1. Haidilao Bedok Mall: Hotpot ingredients from $0.99

Hotpot fans, heads up: Haidilao Bedok Mall is running a promotion for select hotpot ingredients, starting from just $0.99! On weekdays from now till 31 March, you can get ingredients specially priced from $0.99 to $1.99.

From now to 15 February, a half portion of Beancurd Roll goes for $0.99. Also, from 16 February to 29 February, a half portion of Pork Belly will be only $0.99. Bear in mind that each table can order these promotional items thrice only.

2. COCA: CNY hotpot buffet deals

In other hotpot news, COCA is rolling out special CNY buffet prices! From 11 February to 16 February, the Regular Lunch Buffet goes for $43++ per adult and $28++ per child only!

If you cannot make it for lunch, their Regular Dinner Buffet is also relatively affordable at $56++ per adult and $32++ per child. Highlights for the buffet include signature ingredients such as Fish GlueShrimp Paste and a large selection of seafood. COCA is also offering yusheng starting from $48++, affordable when compared to other premium restaurants. Keep in mind that COCA’s branches at Leisure Park Kallang and Suntec City are closed on 11 February.

3. Beauty in The Pot: 10% discount for ladies


Beauty in The Pot has a Ladies’ Day promotion every Tuesday, from 16 January onwards. Ladies can enjoy a 10% discount on ala carte ingredients and get a free drink—a deal valid for up to three women in the group. This means that if you dine in a group of three women, you get 30% off your ingredients. This deal applies as long as the person paying is a Paradise Group member.

4. Kapitan: Free-flow crepes on the weekends

Perhaps you have seen the Slavic restaurant, Kapitan, near Tanjong Pagar going viral on TikTok. And perhaps you missed the chance to book their weekend crepe buffet. But fret not, has extended their weekend crepe buffet to 31 May, available on Saturdays!

Given its popularity, slots are likely to be limited too. So you have to make a reservation quickly!

5. Shin Minori: 1-for-1 Japanese buffet


Seafood fans will love this one: Shin Minori is running a 1-for-1 Omizu Buffet with free-flow oysters and sweet shrimps from now till 31 March! It costs $79.90++ per adult, but with the 1-for-1 promo, you pay that price for two. On top of your usual Japanese classics such as sashimi and sushi, Shin Minori also serves interesting dishes such as the Crunchy Spider Nori Taco, a fried soft-shell crab handroll served in a seaweed-wrapped taco shell.

Go for a sashimi and sushi-filled late lunch or early dinner with your family as this promotion runs from 3pm to 6pm daily. You can even top up $20 for the Premium Buffet with free-flow alcohol, and the 1-for-1 deal still applies.

6. Permata: 1-for-1 halal buffet

Permata is running a 1-for-1 promotion on their buffet! This atas restaurant is located in Gedung Kuning, the historical landmark in Kampong Glam. They specialise in Nusantara cuisine, paying homage to the diverse culinary landscape of the Malay Archipelago. Buffet must-tries include Ayam Goreng Berempah, Laksa Goreng Nyonya, and Gado Gado

Their Lunch Buffet, available from 12pm to 3pm, goes for $78++ per person on weekdays and $88++ at weekends. Their weekday Dinner Buffet is $88++ per person and $98++ on weekends. The promotion runs till 10 April

Be aware that the prices change during the Lunar New Year period from 10 February to 18 February. During that period, the Lunch Buffet is $88++ per person, and the Dinner Buffet is $108++ per person

7. Boeuf: Free-flow roast beef on weekends


Avid readers of Eatbook would have heard that Boeuf at Telok Ayer is running a free-flow roast beef promotion during the weekends. For just $48++ per person, you get to eat as many slices of roast beef as you want with mashed potatoes, some vegetables, and bread on the side. Compete with your friends to see how many slices each of you can handle! 

Keep in mind though, that each diner can only order one serving at a time. Book a spot in this restaurant while the promo is still running.

9. Texas Chicken: Free Cereal Chicken burger


Fried chicken lovers are getting a treat this month as Texas Chicken is running a free burger promotion!

Until 29 February, any purchase of a 2pc Cereal Chicken Meal will come with a free Cereal Chicken Burger Meal. This means that not only do you get the burger, but you also get a free side and a drink. The cereal chicken burger is a Lunar New Year special burger that is a  recreation of the zi char classic dish. This deal is available at all Texas Chicken outlets islandwide, but do note that it is only available while stocks last.

10. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: $10 breakfast sets

If you are an early bird, you’ll be delighted to know that The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is offering two Sausage and Eggs Platter with Shokupan Toast breakfast sets for $10+ only. This deal also includes a small Hot/Iced Americano or Today’s Brew.
