Garrett Popcorn’s sold-out Micro Bag keychain is back

Missed out on Garrett Popcorn‘s viral Micro Bag keychain the first time round? You’re getting a second shot. From 16 September, the tiny popcorn bag charm returns to Garrett Popcorn Shops islandwide, priced at $7.70 with a minimum spend of $15, while stocks last.

The keychain started life as an April Fools’ joke, a social media post introducing a miniature popcorn bag “capable of holding a single kernel”. Fan demand turned the gag real: Garrett Popcorn Singapore commissioned local miniature artist Oo Xin Man of HANDXMADE to build a full-sized “Minishop”, a 30cm-wide diorama recreating the brand’s blue-striped storefront right down to the popcorn counter and tins, which “opened” on 28 August.

The Micro Bag keychain launched alongside it as a gift-with-purchase before selling out. It comes in two colourways, each paired with a different flavour in miniature. The Kraft version comes with tiny CheeseCorn kernels, while the White version pairs with CaramelCrisp kernels instead, essentially a shrunk-down version of Garrett’s actual signature bags, right down to the mix of kernels inside.

This time round, the keychain is available for purchase rather than only as a gift-with-purchase, though the minimum spend requirement is still in place. All Garrett Popcorn Shops carry it except for the Changi Airport outlet, so if you’re planning to swing by, check that your nearest branch is on the list before making a trip down.

Given how quickly the first run disappeared, we wouldn’t wait too long on this one if a tiny bag of popcorn charm is on your wishlist.
