Generation Coffee Opens At Bendemeer Market With Cafe-Style Drinks Under $5

Generation Coffee opens in Boon Keng with espresso-based kopi

Bendemeer Market & Food Centre just got a whole lot more exciting with the arrival of Generation Coffee.

For the uninitiated, the homegrown coffee chain ranked third in our guide to the best kopi in Singapore. They’re known for serving affordable, espresso-based kopi and latte—all under $5.

Cafe girlies can stretch their dollar with Generation Coffee’s espresso-based drinks, where a hot Long Black goes for just $3.40, while the iced version costs $3.90. Otherwise, a hot Latte will set you back $3.90, while the iced version costs just $4.40—a total steal in this economy.

Those who enjoy their coffee sweet can go for the Mocha (from $4.30), Coconut Latte ($4.80), or Spanish Latte (from $4.30)—espresso, steamed milk, and condensed milk— instead.

If you’re on a budget, consider their traditional beverages, where a cup of Kopi-O or Teh-O is priced from $1.80.

Each cup of coffee is brewed with an espresso machine instead of the traditional kopi sock, resulting in a more consistent quality in each cup. During our visit, we were impressed by the beautiful layer of crema atop our kopi, along with its robust and complex flavour profile.

Those who don’t take coffee can order their Thai Milk Tea (from $2.10) or Chocolate (from $3.80) instead.

FYI, Generation Coffee currently has five outlets across the island, including Tekka Market, Tanjong Pagar Plaza, and 216 Bedok Food Centre.

In other kopi-related news, Play Nation has a pop-up at Marina Square from 18 July to 17 August 2025, offering kopitiam plushies and other cute collectables! You can also check out the trending LimSimi quiz, an online personality quiz that tells you what local drink you are.
