Genki Sushi To Open New Outlet At NEX With Free Plates Of Salmon Mentai

Genki Sushi NEX

Following their recent branches in Plaza Singapura and Hillion Mall, Genki Sushi’s new outlet will be opening at the Serangoon mall, NEX, on 19 January. It will be located at level four of the mall, where PastaMania formerly was. To celebrate this affair, the popular sushi chain is giving one free plate of Salmon Mentai for the first 100 dine-in transactions.

Their Salmon Mentai, usually priced at $2.90++, is a hot favourite and for good reason. With mentaiko sauce torched over salmon and sushi rice, this dish is something I always get during my frequent visits to Genki.

What’s more, receive a free Genki-themed cooler bag when you spend at least $50 on their opening day. To hit the qualifying amount, consider getting an assortment of sushi from their Dai Man Zoku series. Priced at $1.90++ each, these are 1.5x bigger than their regular counterparts. My personal favourites are the Salmon Belly and Akaebi Garlic Butter.

If you’re not feeling sushi, Genki also serves up a selection of mains. Spice-lovers can try the new Mala Beef Don ($11.20++), which is topped with Hokkaido cheese sauce for extra oomph. For something lighter, I recommend the Poached Egg Udon ($5.80++). Comprising cold udon noodles, a poached egg, and dollops of roe and ginger, mix everything together for a flavourful bite.

This promotion is only available on their opening day, from 11am, so hurry down to avoid the snaking queues.
