Plenty of eateries offer dim sum in Singapore, but only a handful are halal-certified. If you’re planning to bring your Muslim friends for a hearty meal or late-night treat, bookmark this list of six halal dim sum eateries.
The Dim Sum Place needs no introduction. Dubbed the most popular halal dim sum restaurant in Singapore, you can find them at five different locations at the time of writing. Their menu is relatively extensive, with steamed and fried options as well as duck, beef, chicken, and seafood variations to choose from.
Start your meal with the crowd-favourite DSP Egg Tarts ($6.90++ for four pieces). These tarts come in a buttery shell packed with lightly sweetened custard. Then, move on to the classic Crystal Shrimp Dumpling ($6.90++), starring a bamboo basket with three hearty pieces of har gao. For something a tad different, we recommend their Deep Fried Chicken Siew Mai with Shrimp ($6.90++), which is unlike the usual steamed dumplings we are familiar with.

89.7 Supper Club has an outlet at Changi Village and another at Geylang East Industrial Estate, perfect for lepak sessions into the wee mornings. Both outlets are open 24 hours, so drop by any time you want and indulge in wallet-friendly dim sum with your friends!
It’d be remiss of you to leave without trying their popular Steamed Salted Egg Pau ($3.70 for two), filled to the brim with velvety smooth custard. If you’re not a fan of the creamy custard, opt for the BBQ Chicken Pau ($4.20 for three) instead. To go with your buns, the Thai Style Steamed Beancurd Roll ($4.20) is a safe bet; you can’t really go wrong with these hearty beancurd rolls topped with tangy-spicy Thai chilli sauce.

Easties are lucky to be near Enak Enak Hong Kong Tea House, which has two locations: Bedok and East Coast. Both outlets open till 4am every day, making for another great supper spot for affordable dim sum over late-night conversations.
Their xiao long bao is not just your regular steamed soup dumpling, but made tastier instead—the Shanghai Steamed Dumpling With Chilli Crab ($6.50) comes loaded with sweet-spicy chilli crab sauce. Having these dumplings alone is not enough, so get a plate of Kampong Fried Rice ($8.10) to share with your dining companion(s). If you don’t mind spending more, we recommend the Salted Egg Sotong ($27.50) that pairs exceptionally well with the fried rice.
Bedok outlet

Streats has two branches, one at City Square Mall and the other at IMM. You have a wide selection of items to choose from, including pasta, steak, toast, and baked rice. Of course, there are several dim sum options available if you’d like a light bite!
Their dim sum menu isn’t the biggest compared to all the other eateries mentioned on the list, but they offer the classics: Sichuan Dumplings with Chilli Sauce ($8.80++ for five), Steamed Siew Mai ($5.50++ for four), and Pan-Fried Chicken Dumplings ($7.20++). We also encourage you to get the popular French Toast with Chicken Floss ($7.80++) on the side to end your meal on a sweet note! Other variations of the toast include French Toast with Honey and Butter ($6.80++) and French Toast with Peanut Butter and Condensed Milk ($7.80++).

Tang Tea House has six outlets scattered across Singapore, with most of them operating till 11pm or 2am. From buns to dumplings, there are 20 items on the menu and nothing is priced above $10!
The vibrant Multi-Flavour Buns ($8.20++) caught our eyes first; the bamboo basket comes packed with six different buns in different colours and fillings: kaya, yam, coffee, chicken, bean paste, and bbq chicken. Some dim sum classics that are priced under $5 include Pan-fried Carrot Cake ($3.80++ for two), Har Kow ($4.90++ for three), and Steamed Beancurd Roll ($4.90++ for three) that comes with chicken and prawn bits.

At Loong Dim Sum, you can enjoy a four-course halal dim sum experience with desserts, at just $32.90+ per person. There are about 10 items as part of the curated menu, which includes a welcome drink too.
After you get a drink, the first course begins with three items: Har Gow, Siew Mai, and Truffle Crystal Mushroom Dumpling. Thereafter, you indulge in a premium Lobster Broth Pumpkin Dumpling and Spring Roll, and round off the second course with their Mint Sauce Crispy Tiger Prawn Rolls. When you’re done with all four courses, you’re served The Dragon, which is essentially a chilled aloe vera dessert with lemon grass jelly, topped with lime sorbet.
