Westies have plenty to be excited about with the opening of Hawkers’ Street at Bukit Panjang Plaza. Like the outlet at Tampines 1, this new food court boasts an impressive array of stalls from famous brands, including Michelin-approved and Muslim-friendly options! You’ll find a total of 11 stalls in this spacious dining area, which can accommodate up to 230 diners.
Michelin Bib Gourmand stall Tai Wah Pork Noodle makes an appearance here, with their popular Pork Noodle (from $5) AKA bak chor mee available here. For the full experience, opt for the Signature Tai Wah Pork Noodle ($9). It comes loaded with minced and sliced pork, meatballs, liver, wonton, crispy pork lard, and fried ti poh, adding that extra burst of umami.
There’s also Roast Paradise, the acclaimed roast meat stall best known for their outlet at Old Airport Road Food Centre. Be sure to try their famous Char Siew Rice (price TBD), featuring thick, juicy cuts of pork in their special char siew sauce. You can also add their crispy shao rou AKA roast pork for even more of that meaty decadence.
For a healthier option, try Pang’s Hakka Yong Tau Foo. This popular franchise is known for its excellent Hakka-style noodles and yong tau foo, as well as traditional Hakka delicacies that aren’t commonly seen in Singapore—these include suan pan zi AKA abacus seeds.
Our Muslim friends, meanwhile, have four stalls to choose from, namely Pondok Indah Indonesian Nasi Padang, Waker Chicken, Thai Makan by Thai Dynasty, and Kaki Makan. This new Hawkers’ Street undoubtedly caters to a wide audience, so be sure to check it out if you’re a Westie looking for your next food haunt!
