Banh mi is one of the most popular Vietnamese foods in Singapore—many of us love how simple yet substantial this sandwich is. Here’s another eatery to add to your list of banh mi stores in Singapore: Hi Banh Mi, a Vietnamese-run eatery in Geylang that’s also an eight-minute walk from Aljunied MRT Station!

Here, you get to choose from nine different banh mi flavours: Homemade Special ($6.90), Char Siew ($5.50), Crispy Roasted Pork ($5.50), Shredded Pork Skin ($5.50), Fried Fish Cake ($5.50), Sunny Side Up ($4), Grilled Pork ($5.50), Beef ($6.90), and Sardines ($5.50).

Their Homemade Special is said to be the most popular among patrons. This sandwich is packed with house-cooked pork, a variety of vegetables, and the cherry on top—crispy pork floss. Also, there’s a good amount of handmade pate AKA seasoned meat paste that gives the banh mi more flavour.

If you love your meat, opt for their Beef Banh Mi. $6.90 for a generous amount of meat is frankly quite a steal, especially in this economy.

Fans of goreng pisang will fancy their Vietnamese Fried Banana, which is priced at $1.80 for one piece, and $8 for five. Some online reviews point to the fact that the batter is sweeter, crisper, and chewier than local-style goreng pisang!

The combination of the deep-fried batter and creamy banana within makes this dessert hard to resist.
