Get The Famous Hiap Joo Bakery Banana Cake From This Vending Machine In Bukit Panjang

Hiap Joo Bakery launches vending machine in Singapore

Just like every other Singaporean who frequently visits Johor Bahru, I always make a pit stop at Hiap Joo Bakery so I can get their banana cake. The good news is we no longer have to cross the border to get our fix, as there is now a food vending machine in Singapore that dispenses this famous treat!

The vending machine, which is located at Senja Hawker Centre in Bukit Panjang, dispenses Hiap Joo’s highly coveted Banana Cake, priced at $8.60 per box. Though it’s more costly than what you can get in JB, it’s the closest thing we can get to an actual outlet in Singapore, so we’ll gladly take it.

Hiap Joo’s signature Banana Cake is praised for being incredibly moist and fluffy, with a pleasant sweetness from the use of ripe, good-quality bananas instead of artificial flavourings. These cakes are also baked fresh every morning in a wood-fired oven, lending the bakes a delicious toastiness.

The bakery is also known for their selection of soft buns containing fillings such as Coconut and Red Bean, which we’re hoping will also be available in the machines soon. Considering how the original Hiap Joo in JB draws long queues each morning, we recommend you hurry down ASAP to get your fix before it runs out for the day!

In other news, if you love your shio pan as much as we do, check out Fan’s Cafe at Far East Plaza for deliciously chewy shio pan from just $3! Another must-visit for amazing bakes is Bakery M, which has Biscoff Caramel Mochi bread and more at Wisma Atria and Marina One!

Address: 2 Senja Close, Senja Hawker Centre, Singapore 677632
Opening hours: Daily 6:30am to 9pm
Hiap Joo Bakery is a halal-certified eatery.
