Beauty World is home to plenty of food gems—my go-to for dry noodles is Top 1 Home Made Noodles, and Myungga II serves up affordable Korean food. Just a quick seven-minute walk from Beauty World MRT Station is Bukit Timah Plaza, where we chanced upon a new sandwich stall run by a young couple. FYI: Everything on the menu is under $20!

The menu offers eight sandwiches, ranging from $11 to $16. Leading the lineup is the adorably named Yolks On You ($11), a classic egg-mayo sandwich built on a Pullman loaf: a sandwich bread known for its soft crust and tender crumb. If you don’t mind spending a little more, we recommend the popular Big Beef Theory ($16), which features beef slices, cucumber, and onions in a soft, airy focaccia.

The Fun Guy ($14) is quite literally a hot mess, featuring three main ingredients in chewy sourdough slices: mushrooms, caramelised onions, and lots of melted cheese.

If meat is a must-have in your sandwich, opt for the Chick Me Out ($16) instead. A thick slice of focaccia comes packed with herby chicken and pesto, topped with caramelised onions, and of course, savoury cheese.

Complete your experience with any of the three sides here! You can’t go wrong with the Scotts Tots ($7), mildly spicy tater tots doused in hot honey, or the extra crispy Brocc N Roll ($7) drizzled with a house-made sweet soy sauce. There’s also Corn Me Maybe ($5), a sweet corn soup perfect for dipping your sandwich in.

HunBun opened its doors in November 2025, and as a young couple just starting out, they are still getting the hang of things. Please extend some grace if you encounter any bumps along the way!
