ION Orchard Food Court Reopens With 19 New Stalls, Including Michelin-Recognised Names

ION Orchard Food Opera reopens

ION Orchard is well known as one of Singapore’s luxury shopping destinations, with its lineup of high-end brands and extravagant dining options. Now, its Food Opera is getting an upgrade to match—the revamped food court set to open on 28 September 2026.

On top of a refreshed look and an expanded dining area that seats 600 diners, shoppers can also look forward to 19 new stalls, including an impressive line-up of award-winning, Michelin-recognised, and iconic heritage brands.

The heritage brands are intentionally included to preserve and celebrate Singapore’s hawker culture, spotlighting generational recipes with an impressive history.

Highlights include the 93-year-old Ming Chung White Lor Mee, now run by its fourth-generation owners, known for its signature Henghua Braised Noodles ($6.20). There’s also Hillman Restaurant, a Cantonese institution famous for its traditional claypot dishes and paper-wrapped chicken. 

While embracing the old, Food Opera also welcomes the next generation of up-and-coming hawkers such as Beremph Bros. Founded by MasterChef Singapore season two winner Derek Cheong, the stall first debuted with much success in Beauty World and is now expanding into the heart of Singapore’s busiest shopping district.

Other stalls worth looking out for include Ah Er Herbal Soup and MP Thai, both of which are Michelin-recognised names. Toast Box will also offer live coffee roasting for the first time at its Food Opera outlet, offering a new Nanyang Supremo house blend that features smooth, mellow notes and hints of chocolate and caramel.

Also joining the upgraded Food Opera is Treasure Bakery, a unique bakery concept that blends British and Nanyang culinary influences. There are five signature items worth seeking out: the Beef Shepherd’s Pie, Earl Grey Cranberry Roll, Sapphire Blueberry Tart, Strawberry Kugelhopf, and Madame K’s Strawberry Rouland. Prices are TBD.
