We tried and loved Taiwan-famous bubble tea chain Kebuke when they opened at Taste Orchard in 2024. That’s why we’re excited about the brand’s latest launch at Sembawang Shopping Centre, which marks their first foray into the North!

For the uninitiated, Kebuke has over 200 stores across Taiwan. The Sembawang outlet follows the brand’s Orchard and CIMB Plaza openings.

It’s also Kebuke’s first bubble tea-themed cafe, so you can look forward to tea-inspired treats here. Unwind with the new KEBUKE High Tea Set ($28.80), which gets you two medium drinks from the Classic Tea and Milk Tea Latte series, two sliced cakes, four cream puffs, and six cookies.

On the top tier, you’ll find a fixed array of freshly baked treats, namely a Rice Oolong Tea Flavoured Cream Puff, Peach Black Tea Flavoured Cream Puff, Butter Cookies, and Coffee Cookies. We’re most excited about the cream puffs, which comprise a golden choux pastry, filled with delicate tea-infused cream.

Diners can choose their preferred flavours of sliced cakes. Consider the Rice Oolong Basque Burnt Cheesecake, infused with Kebuke’s premium rice oolong tea leaves for a roasted rice flavour and subtle smokiness that pairs well with the creamy cheesecake. Otherwise, the Uji Matcha Cheesecake, made with matcha powder from Kyoto, will be a hit among green tea fans.

Pair the sweet treats with your choice of drinks, including a classic Brown Sugar Pearl Black Tea Latte, which you can also order a la carte for $5.70. This popular bubble tea features creamy milk tea and chewy pearls drenched in brown sugar syrup.

Our unanimous favourite is the Biscoff Black Tea Latte (U.P. $5.60), a Singapore-exclusive drink consisting of strong black tea mixed with fresh milk, layered with crunchy cookie butter.

Suitable for two diners, the two-tiered afternoon tea set is only available at Sembawang Shopping Centre.
