1. The Ramen Stall

It’s not every day you come across a halal-certified Japanese restaurant, which makes The Ramen Stall a gem that strikes true. Here, you can indulge in a variety of dishes, ranging from ramen to sushi.

Since the restaurant is best known for its ramen, begin with the Beef Ramen (RM32.90), featuring tender slices of beef and springy noodles in a rich, creamy broth. If you have a high tolerance for spice, challenge yourself with the Volcano Ramen (RM26.90). Pair it with the Aburi Salmon Sushi (RM16.90) for a touch of balance, as its lightly seared, buttery flavour helps soften the Volcano Ramen’s intense heat.

Unit number: Ground Floor, Lot G16-17
Opening hours: Mon-Thurs 10:30am to 10pm, Fri-Sun 10am to 10pm

2. The Dim Sum Place

The Dim Sum Place would probably ring a bell, as there are a few outlets in Singapore. For the uninitiated, it’s a popular dim sum chain that offers an extensive menu at affordable prices.

Most diners begin with the Crystal Shrimp Dumpling (RM13.90), served in a bamboo basket with three pieces. The dumpling skin is neither too thin nor too thick, and is packed with fresh, juicy shrimp. Then, try the Vermicelli Roll with BBQ Chicken Char Siew (RM14.90) for a sweet-savoury mix, and finish it on a high with the Beef Brisket Noodle (RM32.90)

Unit number: Ground Floor, Lot G18-19
Opening hours: Mon-Thurs 10:30am to 10pm, Fri-Sun 10am to 10pm

Popular French cuisine chain Poulet opened its doors at Komtar JBCC mall in 2024. Known as the spot for tasty roast chicken, you can get the crowd-favourite Roast Chicken in three sauces: mushroom cream sauce, Diane sauce, and black pepper cream sauce. There are three sizes available: Quarter Chicken (from RM16.90++), Half Chicken (from RM22.90++), and Whole Chicken (from RM44.90++).

At the Malaysia outlet, you can also enjoy their crowd-favourite Tiger Prawn with Spicy Sausage Pasta (RM34.90++), and other popular dishes such as the French Onion Soup (RM6.90++) and Truffle Mushroom Risotto (RM22.90++).

4. Auntie Anne’s

It’s no secret that JB’s Auntie Anne’s is a hot favourite among Singaporeans and international tourists alike. There’s nothing more satisfying than biting into a hot, freshly baked pretzel after a long day of shopping and walking around the city.

For less than half the price you get in Singapore, the Original Pretzel costs RM5.70 here. There’s a range of sweet and savoury treats, such as Cinnamon Sugar, Green Tea, and Parmesan Cheese, at RM6.70 each. For something punchier, we recommend Jalapeno (RM8.20++), which is the perfect combination of salty and spicy, or Sour Cream & Onion (RM6.70), which tastes just like the potato chips we’re all familiar with.

For broths, there’s the Arashi Miso Soup Broth and Arashi Tomato Soup Broth, best eaten with the Seafood & Meat Combo (RM45.90++), comprising beef, salmon, and chicken. Alternatively, consider the Barramundi & Pork Combo (RM35.90++) if that’s your preferred protein option.
