Korio Opens Cafe In Marina Bay With Famous Sandwiches And Brioche Donuts

Korio opens in Marina Bay with famous sandwiches and donuts

The sandwich deli that had everyone in a chokehold when it operated as a takeaway kiosk at Far East Square has officially made its highly anticipated return. That’s right, Korio has opened a new dine-in cafe at IOI Boulevard Towers in Marina Bay, a two-minute walk from Downtown MRT Station!

This marks a brand new chapter for the brand; not only is this their biggest outlet yet, there’s also a dine-in space and an expanded menu to check out.

You can look forward to 10 sandwiches here, priced between $14 to $18.50. Everything on the menu is under $20.

We recommend the Mortadella & Pickles ($15.50), where a soft potato roll is stuffed with grilled mortadella ham, provolone cheese, mustard mayo, and house pickles. While small, this sandwich packs a punch in the flavour department; it was savoury and meaty, offset by the tangy pickles and piquant mustard sauce.

Vegetarians and meat lovers alike will enjoy the Mushroom Melt ($16.50): roasted mushrooms, provolone cheese, basil mayo, arugula, and egg, stacked between two slices of sourdough. This simple yet hearty sammie is packed with umami from the mushrooms, complemented with a creamy basil mayo. Fresh rocket leaves are a brilliant addition to cut through the richness.

Other favourites include the Breakfast Sandwich ($14), featuring crispy luncheon meat, cheddar, and gribiche—a creamy egg sauce—held together by brioche. You won’t go wrong with the classic Lox ($18.50) too, starring smoked salmon, herb cream cheese, pickled beetroot, tomatoes, and capers on a French baguette.

That’s not at all—another speciality here is the soft and fluffy brioche doughnuts. Must-try flavours include the Honey with Sea Salt ($5.50) and Chocolate Ganache with Praline and Malt Powder ($5.80).

Wash everything down with their house-made beverages; their Iced Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew ($6.50) is a delicious pick-me-up that’s smooth and sweet, while the Lemon Mint Iced Tea ($6) is the perfect refresher on a hot day.
