When LINKUS, an award-winning restaurant from Fujian, China, opened in Suntec City earlier in the year, it was greeted with long queues and a slew of positive reviews. Now, the franchise has opened its second outlet in Singapore, this time at Takashimaya Shopping Centre.
On the menu are classic Minnan/Hokkien dishes such as the Authentic Fujian Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, which features all the heavy-hitters including abalone, sea cucumber and more.
For more seafood goodness, try the Hand Hooked Squid Tubes in Chilli Oil, which sees tender hand-hooked Dongshan squid dressed in a house-made chilli oil—this is said to enhance its natural sweetness.
For a meat dish, the Quanzhou Ginger Duck with Abalone is a clear standout. Said to have originated from the Shang Dynasty, this traditional dish is slow-cooked with fragrant ginger, black sesame oil and premium abalone.
Other dishes that pay tribute to the rich food culture of Fujian include the Quanzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Beef Soup, Minnan Nourishing Sea Eel Soup, Xiamen Classic Satay Hotpot Served with Doughsticks and more.
Conclude your meal with equally traditional desserts such as the Taro Paste with Bird’s Nest in Coconut Cup, where silky taro paste is layered with premium bird’s nest and served inside a fresh coconut. This is the sort of restaurant you bring your Hokkien parents or grandparents to!
We’ll update the prices once we get more information.
