Lok lok seems to be making a comeback in the second half of this year, with wallet-friendly eateries popping up every now and then. The list includes Lok Me Up, which serves $0.60 skewers with free nacho cheese till 3am, and most recently, Lok Lok Loh in VivoCity.
If you’re missing your favourite skewers from Malaysia, you’re in luck. The new kid on the block is running an opening promo, where you can get $1 per stick from now till 30 November 2021! This offer is limited to five skewers per person, and is only available while stocks last.
Located in the basement of the mall, the takeaway kiosk offers more than 20 varieties of lok lok to choose from. You can go for the assorted sticks, which are priced at just $1 for a limited time only, or grab a bento box for a more filling meal. The latter includes your favourite skewers on a bed of fluffy white pearl rice, finished with a generous drizzle of your choice of housemade sauce, with options such as Chilli Crab, Torched Mentaiko, and Wasabi Mayo.
Over to the lok lok selection, you’ll find staples such as king oyster mushroom, tau pok, and Japanese leek, among local favourites of youtiao, and prawn paste chicken. The skewers are cooked to your preference, be it deep-fried to golden perfection, or boiled for a healthier taste.

After the promotion ends, the skewers will be priced from $1 upwards. Thereafter, the takeaway kiosk will be running a few deals. For one, simply follow the brand on Facebook and Instagram, and spend a minimum of $7.50 to enjoy a free lok look skewer of your choice.
