M5 Coffee: New Cafe From Taiwan With SG-Exclusive Blue Coffee, Charcoal Honey Latte And More

M5 Coffee is a new Taiwanese cafe in Orchard Gateway

If you’re a frequent town-goer, you might have come across M5 Coffee, a new cafe from Taiwan tucked in Basement 1 of Orchard Gateway. It’s the Taiwanese coffee chain’s first international outlet—they currently have three branches in Taiwan.

Here you’ll find an extensive selection of coffee and tea, including their popular mountain-themed drinks.

There’s the Singapore-exclusive Mount Faber ($7): M5 Coffee’s premium coffee blend with creamy milk, a blue curacao syrup for tartness, and sea salt flakes to finish.

The three-layered drink is a must-try; the full-bodied coffee is rich and robust, pairing well with the sweet, salty, and milky notes.

The Bamboo Charcoal Honey Caffe Latte ($7.50) is another signature. This drink combines honey and milk, with a tinge of earthiness from the charcoal.

Alternatively, for something simpler, you won’t go wrong with the Cube Americano ($6). You get ice bricks made of espresso, served with even more freshly pulled espresso, which means your iced coffee isn’t watered down even after the ice melts.

The Oatmeal Cookie Latte ($8) and Creme Brulee Latte ($7) are other noteworthy picks on the menu.

M5 Coffee also serves a small range of desserts, including an uber-cute Cactus Cupcake ($11).

This gram-worthy treat comes with sweet Biscoff crumbs mixed with a dark chocolate sponge cake, finished with buttercream.

You’ll also find a trendy Taro Coconut Cake ($8.50) that’s made with fresh yam, and Chocolate Fudge Cake ($8), an indulgent cake that features 70% dark chocolate for a bittersweet flavour.
