McDonald’s Sweet BBQ McSpicy is back for a limited time

ICYMI: McDonald’s launched a brand-new McSpicy flavour in 2023: Sweet BBQ McSpicy, which features the classic spicy chicken patty paired with sweet BBQ sauce and chicken bacon. Good news for those who love this rendition, as the special burger is back for a limited time only, from 11 May 2026!

Here’s the catch: from 11 to 13 May, the new burgers will only be available on GrabFood as an early-access exclusive. You can also enjoy free delivery with a minimum spend of $28 via the app.

A quick check on GrabFood shows the Sweet BBQ McSpicy Chicken Bacon priced from $9.30 a la carte, or $11.25 as an Extra Value Meal.

This McSpicy sees the classic spicy AF chicken cutlet topped with crispy slices of chicken bacon and a lashing of sweet BBQ cream sauce. We wished there was more of the sauce to get a real kick of the smoky oomph, but perhaps you could put in a special request for more.

Nonetheless, look past that and you’ll find your good ol’ McSpicy has definitely been given a glow-up with the additional bursts of sweet and savoury in each bite of that juicy, spicy chicken leg burger.

Do note that the photos of the Sweet BBQ McSpicy with chicken bacon were taken in 2023.

That’s not all: there’s also the new Sweet BBQ McSpicy with Egg and Cheese, priced from $9.70 a la carte and $11.65 for an Extra Value Meal.

This swaps out the chicken bacon for a fried egg and melted cheese.
