McDonald’s Has New Yakiniku Beef And Chicken Burgers

McDonald’s has new yakiniku beef and chicken burgers

McDonald’s is no stranger to Japanese-inspired burgers—think the Samurai Burger or Ebi Burger. Come 25 April 2024, McDonald’s is launching yet another one of these, this time taking inspiration from yakiniku, AKA Japanese grilled meat. It is aptly called the Yakiniku Burger (from $8.90).

That’s not all: on 29 April, 3pm to 4pm, you can try this burger for free at any outlet! Simply find a store manager and shout ‘YAKINIKU HAKKU’ to receive a ‘Be Our Guest’ card, which can be redeemed for a free Yakiniku burger.

Available for a limited time only, this series comes with both a beef and chicken version. The Yakiniku Beef Burger features a juicy 100% Quarter Pounder beef patty with a savoury yakiniku sauce, topped with caramelised onions and crisp shredded white cabbage, all nestled between soft semolina buns.

Meanwhile, the Yakiniku Crispy Chicken Burger stars a crispy chicken patty, caramelised onions, and crunchy white cabbage sandwiched between soft semolina buns. While one doesn’t usually associate fried chicken with yakiniku, this interesting blend of components should be exciting to most.

While the Yakiniku Burger launches in McDonald’s outlets across the country on 25 April 2024, you can actually try it on 24 April 2024 by dropping by Plaza Singapura Level 1 Atrium from 12pm to 1pm and 6pm to 7pm. There, you’ll find a Yakiniku Burger vending machine that lets you try these exciting new burgers with just a few clicks of a button.

In other McDonald’s news, the fast food chain has brought back their 50 cents vanilla cones till 26 April 2024. You can find out more about this promo via our $0.50 vanilla cones coverage.
