It’s not uncommon for people to pay exorbitant prices to dine with a gorgeous view, as evidenced by how rooftop restaurants are always serving a full house. Mervyn’s Madeleines proves that you don’t need to fork out a ton of money to have an equally enjoyable experience. With mains under $15, Mervyn’s Madeleines is located right beside the pool at Ridgewood Condominium.
The cafe is named after its owner and chef. Diners can enjoy a serene view by the poolside while enjoying the cafe’s pasta, burgers, and other mains and sides. What’s more, everything on the menu is nett-priced!
By far one of the most popular dishes here is the Carbonara ($15). Served with a heaping portion of tagliatelle, the use of guanciale here brings a hint of smokiness to the dish.
Other pasta dishes available here include the Squid Linguine ($14), Prawn Angel Hair ($13), and the Basil Pesto Pasta ($8.50), with the last one being vegan-friendly.
As for burgers, The Impossible Burger here is definitely one of the cheaper ones you can find. For $15, the Impossible patty is stacked with a slice of sharp cheddar, slices of tomato, and lettuce.
The newest dish on their menu, Ayam Goreng Berempah ($12), is the only Asian dish on the menu thus far. This plate of fragrant coconut rice, juicy fried chicken thigh and sunny-side-up is only available on selected Wednesdays, so do follow their Instagram to stay updated.
Mervyn’s Madeleines offers a variety of drinks that lets you pretend you’re lounging by a pool in Bali, but it seems the Mango Smoothie with Yoghurt Balls ($4.90) is the most popular.
Made with an entire mango, this smoothie is refreshing and perfect for the relentlessly hot days we’ve been experiencing.
As the name suggests, Mervyn’s Madeleines also sells boxes of buttery madeleines.

Available in either Citrus ($9.90) or Matcha ($12), you can also choose to get a Mix Box ($12). Do note that the Matcha Madeleines must be ordered at least one day in advance.
If you’re not a huge fan of madeleines, fret not, as they offer other pastries too, such as Chocolate Hazelnut Cookies ($10 for six), which feature a house-made hazelnut butter.
