Mr Bean Has New Gula Melaka Pancake, Also Now Halal-Certified

Mr Bean halal certified

Mr Bean has just got a lot more inclusive, as the soy milk and beancurd retailer is finally halal-certified! This also applies to their sister outlet Doo Qoo. Their 69 outlets islandwide have all been validated as halal by MUIS. On top of the halal certification, Mr Bean has also launched all-new seasonal specials, including a Gula Melaka Pancake ($2.40).

The Gula Melaka Pancake looks like a sure-win if you love the coconutty, rib-sticking sweetness of gula melaka. A fluffy, min jiang kueh-esque pancake is stuffed with this gula melaka mix for a sugary midday pick-me-up.

Also new to the pancake menu is the Curry Chicken with Potato Pancake ($2.40). Riffing on the beloved snack that is curry puff, this new pancake flavour stars a mildly spicy curry chicken filling, housed in fluffy Chinese pancake batter.

On the drinks front, Mr Bean has two new Thai soy milk tea beverages, priced at $3.30 each. Have your choice of lactose-free Thai milk tea with either pearls or grass jelly.

Mr Bean is also known for healthy mains—their also menu offers substantial rice bowls and soy porridge. Joining the fray is an all-new Soy Curry Chicken with Potato rice bowl, priced at $6.90. This gives your curry png a healthier twist by swapping out white rice for wholegrain mixed rice.

The next time you’re craving Mr Bean, head down to any of their outlets islandwide and give their new menu items a try. They’ll be available for a limited time only.

If you love pancakes, head down to Kueh Pulau Pinang to try $1 min jiang kueh sold by an eldery couple in their 70s. Else, there’s Apam Balik Wak Power, which sells apam balik in a wide variety of flavours out of a kiosk in Yishun.
