This Cute Avocado Cafe In BKK Has Retro Japanese Coffeehouse Vibes, Opens Till 12:30AM

Oh! Vacoda is a retro-inspired avocado cafe in Bangkok

If you love all things retro and you’re heading to Bangkok, Thailand sometime soon, you have to visit Oh! Vacoda & The Fruit Bar Club. Located in the hip Ari neighbourhood, this under-the-radar cafe stands out with a super cute facade. Its walls are painted an avocado-inspired green shade, contrasted against its pale pink logo.

Head inside and you’ll find a space that’s warm and cosy, with wooden booth seats on one end and a charming bar on the other that serves up tipples and wines as dusk falls. The cafe opens till 12:30am on most days, too!

If you’re here for brunch, you’ll find a nice range of avocado-themed dishes on the menu to fill up on.

There’s the Pancake Avocado Bacon with Souffle Egg (฿290/~S$11.10) that comprises buttermilk pancake fried with bacon, accompanied by fresh Thai avocado slices.

This hearty brunch main comes topped with a souffle egg, and is drenched in maple syrup for that perfect sweet-savoury combination.

You’ll also find sharing sides, all spotlighting fresh avocados grown in Thailand. Order a side of Mozzarella Cheese Balls with Avocado Wasabi Mayo (฿190/~S$7.30), crunchy on the outside and creamy within, or go for the Cold Avocado Tofu (฿260/~S$9.90) if you want something lighter.

For drinks, the Affocado (฿220/~S$8.40) is a great way to get both your caffeine and sugar fix. This dessert-like beverage combines freshly pulled espresso with creamy avocado ice cream. Alternatively, try the Mochadao (฿195/~S$7.40), the cafe’s spin on mocha that stars avocado-chocolate sauce.

Do note that Oh! Vacado & The Fruit Bar Club is a small cafe with limited seats, so it’s best to head down early especially if you’re visiting on the weekends.

While you’re in BKK, hit up these other aesthetic cafes in Bangkok for delicious coffee and hearty brunch fare! Alternatively, skip the crowds in the city and plan a trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand instead, for more unique cafes and cheap street food.
