Paradise Dynasty is back in town again, and this time their flagship outlet is located at Wisma Atria. Previously located on the top floor of ION Orchard, this stunning new space is brighter and more inviting, thanks to the gorgeous coral walls and chairs, and rose gold fixtures
Its interior and location are not the only things that have changed. The menu is also revamped, with plenty of scrummy eats that will tease your palate.
Swing by this weekend and take advantage of their opening promo, as the stalwart Chinese restaurant will be giving 50% off all à la carte dishes to all Citibank cardmembers and PGR members. This is a real steal, and a great way to introduce yourself to their new dishes without breaking the bank.
Ensure you don’t lose out on this dining discount by becoming a PGR member when you’re there. Simply sign up for its membership at $30 and receive P$30 preloaded in the membership account, which can be used to offset your bill thereafter.
On top of that, all diners will be rewarded with a complimentary serving of Beauty Collagen Xiao Long Bao when they order a Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao this month. There are only 100 redemptions a day though, so it’s best to come by early.
A creative collaboration with sister brand, Beauty In The Pot, this soupy parcel contains an unctuous broth that’s extremely rich and creamy. It’s a must-get, and we only wish it becomes a permanent fixture on the menu.
If you’re unsure what to order, we recommend starting off with their Chilled Jellyfish in Soy Sauce Vinaigrette ($12.80++).
Unlike most Chinese restaurants that use jellyfish legs, this unique cold dish features the jellyfish head, which – together with the sliced cucumbers – delivers a nice crunch.
We were extremely impressed by the Crispy Yellow Croaker Spring Roll ($9.20++). The fish, which is known for its buttery texture, melted gently against the crispy skin and crunchy bamboo shoots.
There were also mustard greens within, imparting a light aroma.
Sure to please Teochew moms all around is the Yam Paste Xiao Long Bao ($8.80++ for six pieces, $12.80++ for 10 pieces). Packaged within the translucent skin was a generous filling of thick and velvety-smooth house-made orh nee. It was not too sweet, tasting very much like the heartwarming dessert you get at a Chinese wedding.
Sate your need for carbo’ with the La Mian with Yellow Croaker Fish and Preserved Vegetable ($16.80++). The full-bodied broth brings comfort to your soul and delights your taste buds. It has a strong umami taste, due to the blend of fish bones that’s simmered for hours and combined with a pork bone broth.
Silky noodles and meaty chunks of the premium fish complete the dish.
The menu also features plenty of new crab dishes. An interesting one is the Braised Tofu with Crab Roe ($22.80++). Prepared with freshly peeled crab meat and roe from live female crabs, the addictive dish is redolent with the oceanic flavour of crab, which uplifts the delicate flavour of tofu.
Despite opening last week, Paradise Dynasty has already attracted long queues during lunch and dinner. Don’t be late to the game, and head down ASAP to enjoy their selection of exquisite Chinese grub.
For those making their way down this weekend on 19 and 20 January 2019, do remember you enjoy 50% off on all à la carte food items with any Citibank Credit or Debit card or if you are a PGR member!
