Attention to all fans of PIPES by HATTENDO: the popular sando cafe from Japan has opened their third outlet coffee kiosk at Momentus Hotel Alexandra located in Alexandra Central Mall!
The new coffee kiosk will also serve a limited menu of customers’ beloved sandos, such as the Dashimaki Mentai Tamago Sando ($14), Nitamago Potato Salad Sando ($14), Lemongrass Chicken Sando ($14), Iberico Pulled Pork Sando ($22) and more. Perfect for a bread (or perhaps brat) summer!Â
The Dashimaki Mentai Tamago ($14) comes in a huge portion, with the tamagoyaki layered with a thick, umami coat of mentaiko sauce. On top of its creaminess and richness, the lightness of the Yuzu Mayo and Karashi Mayo elevates the sandwich with even more layers of pop to its flavour.
Other than the Dashimaki Mentai Tamago ($14), another must-try at PIPES’ other outlets is their Hokkaido Wagyu Sando ($20). This Wagyu beef patty came thick, juicy, and drenched in hamburg sauce and karashi mayo. With its slightly pink centre, the wagyu was cooked to perfection.Â
If you prefer seafood, their Garlic Prawn Sando ($19) is also not to be missed. A sando packed with sauteed prawns and a touch of butter garlic and yuzu mayo, it has a lighter taste as compared to the Hokkaido Wagyu Sando and is on the more refreshing side. The prawns were sweet and fresh with a smooth texture and pleasant bite.
While the PIPES by HATTENDO is known for their plethora of quality sando, their halal cream buns (1 for $3.80, 5 for $17.60) slap too. Freshly prepared in Hattendo Malaysia, these cream buns are made with halal-certified cream and come in custard, whipped cream, matcha, azuki beans and chocolate flavours.Â
