Home-based pizza businesses aren’t new, but here’s one that has been under the radar. PizzaJ, located in a Seletar landed property, has wood-fired sourdough pizzas available for delivery or pick-up!

The pizzas here are described as a twist between the Neapolitan and New York styles, concocted after testing over a hundred dough recipes. They’ve put particular care into their pizza crusts, with a texture that is neither chewy nor hard, and brings out the full flavour of the grains.  Each pizza is approximately 12 inches, with eight slices per pizza, and serves around two to three people.

Their signature flavours are The Smoked Duck ($26), with fresh notes from the sharp onion and bell peppers contrasting nicely with the smoky duck and cheese blend, and White Sauce Salmon ($32), which uses their special creamy white wine sauce.

The Frutti Di Mare ($32) and Prosciutto Di Parma ($32) are highly popular as well, but one I find interesting is the Figgy and Prosciutto ($32), with a base of fig jam and blue cheese topped with prosciutto ham slices.

They also have an extensive list of vegetarian and vegan options, ranging from the classic Margherita ($20) and Al Quattro Fromaggi ($24) to more interesting options such as the Butternut Supreme ($25) and Hummus Delight ($24), amongst others.

If pizza isn’t enough for you and your hungry friends, order their sides, which include Truffle Fries ($10), Spicy Basil Drumlets ($16), Calamari Fritti ($15) and more.

Order $100 worth of pizza and goodies to enjoy free delivery, but if you’re going for a smaller, more intimate order, you’ll pay only about $5 to $15, depending on your distance from the pizzeria’s location.  Also, ensure that you place your order on their website at least one day in advance, as their handcrafted sourdough requires love and patience!
