Restaurant Reaz Corner: 24-Hour Eatery In JB With Bombay Briyani And Thick Roti Kaya

Restaurant Reaz Corner is a 24-hour eatery in Johor Bahru

If you’re in Johor Bahru for a vacation and are looking for a late-night supper spot, look no further than Restaurant Reaz Corner. This eatery, which is located near the JB customs, is open for 24 hours every day of the week.

Restaurant Reaz Corner offers a wide range of Indian-Muslim eats, from roti canai and thosai, to stir-fried dishes such as maggi goreng. Their most famous dish is by far the Bombay briyani, which is Mumbai’s version of the iconic Indian rice dish.

There are quite a few versions of Bombay briyani to choose from here, but we went with the Nasi Briyani Ayam Tandoori (RM12/~S$3.40). We found the dish to be wonderfully fragrant and flavourful overall, especially with its use of rich spices and curry. The only downside here was that the tandoori was a little too salty for our taste.

Those who’ve decided to have breakfast here can opt for the Roti Arab Kaya Butter (RM4/~S$1.10). Featuring soft and buttery roti arab that’s smeared with fragrant Hainanese kaya, this is a simple yet hearty and delicious dish to start your day with.

Finish your meal with a cup of Susu Kambing Biasa (RM5/~S$1.40), AKA goat milk. We found this drink to be sweeter and more exciting than your average cup of milk—one colleague even noted how it tasted like Honey Stars with milk, except that, of course, no cereal is present in this drink.
