Roast Paradise is opening in Tampines

Barely two months after the opening of their third outlet in Punggol, Roast Paradise is set to open their fourth branch in Tampines on 1 December 2022. While there was an original Tampines outlet that closed its doors three years ago, the owners of Roast Paradise are confident that this second rodeo will be a successful one.

If you haven’t had Roast Paradise’s offerings before, know that the franchise is known for its excellent KL-style roast meat. Compared to most roast meat stalls in Singapore, Roast Paradise’s char siew is fattier, more charred, and caramelised. Their sio bak (roast pork), with its super crispy skin and juicy goodness, is no slouch either.

A plate of Char Siew or Roast Pork Rice should set you back $4.50, but if you’d like to have the best of both worlds, get the Char Siew Roast Pork Rice ($5.80). These feature flavoured rice that’s zhnged-up with butter, garlic, ginger, and pork oil.

You can also opt to have your meat with springy Hakka noodles. The noodles’ flat mee pok profile and the copious minced meat added on top of it means it is reminiscent of bak chor mee, but with char siew and sio bak as the star attraction. As if this wasn’t already distinctive enough, Roast Paradise uses a Hakka-style sauce blend to add a unique savouriness to the dish.

For more roast meat goodness, you can check out Fook Kin, a joint venture between the owners of Roast Paradise, the owners of Fatboy’s, as well as radio DJ duo The Muttons. It offers a similarly decadent char siew and sio bak, but with a larger variety of side dishes to choose from.
