PSA to those who reside in the North-East: a new Korean eatery has landed in The Woodleigh Mall, offering a fresh take on home-style tofu stews. Seoul Tofu is now open on the ground floor of the mall, bringing their soft, freshly made tofu and comforting Korean dishes to Singaporeans.
The restaurant’s focus is on handmade tofu, prepared in-house every morning. This silky tofu forms the base of hearty stews and rice bowls, letting the rich broths and seasonings shine through.
On the menu, expect classic Korean favourites including tofu stews with spicy or mild broths, rice accompaniments, and sides that complement each bowl. The best part? Most of the mains are under $20!
A must-try is the Kimchi Pork Tofu Stew Set ($19.50++), a spicy kimchi jjigae brimming with tender pork slices and soft, silky tofu. For those who prefer a milder option, the Original Tofu Stew Set ($18.50++) delivers a clean, comforting broth. Other popular choices include the Beef Tofu Stew Set ($19.50++) and Seafood Tofu Stew Set ($19.50++), all served with generous portions of tofu and hearty ingredients.
The restaurant also offers a small selection of rice bowls, such as the Beef Bulgogi Hot Stone Plate Bibimbap ($19.50++) and the Stir-Fried Pork Hot Stone Plate Bibimbap ($19.50++), perfect for those craving a sizzling, flavourful rice dish to complement their stew.
If you’re visiting with friends or family, it’s worth ordering some shareable sides. The Boiled Pork ($48.90++) is a crowd favourite, while the Seafood Pancake ($14.50++) is perfect for snacking on while waiting for your stew.
