Shake Shack Opens At Bishan Junction 8 On 13 October

Shake Shack is opening at Junction 8

Bishan peeps, this is for you—cult burger chain Shake Shack is finally in your ‘hood! It’s been announced that the eatery will open on 13 October at Junction 8, which means that you won’t have to travel all the way to town just to get your ShackBurger fix.

After their latest openings in Westgate and Gardens by the Bay, this heartland location brings the total number of Shake Shacks in Singapore to nine. It is also their second heartland location after Jurong East, and will be located on Level One of the mall, right above Bishan MRT Station.

Like all the other Shake Shack outlets, this upcoming one will sport a mural by yet another local artist—here, visual adventurer Aeropalmics has been commissioned to create one inspired by the Bishan neighbourhood’s energy, integrated with recognisable Shake Shack icons.

Menu-wise, you can expect the same signature items, including the ShackBurger (from $9.70), SmokeShack (from $11.60), and the vegetarian ShroomBurger ($11.50).

Earlier this year, Shake Shack launched their Dark Meat Hot Chicken ($10.80) burger, starring a crispy whole chicken thigh dusted with a hot pepper blend, sandwiched in their iconic burger buns with slaw and pickles—this burger is likely to be made available here at Junction 8 too.

Of course, you can’t visit Shake Shack and not have their Shakes and Frozen Custards: there’s the classic ($7.80) Vanilla, Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Black & White, and Common Man Coffee, prepared with beans from the popular roaster!

There’s also the outlet-exclusive Who 8 My Cookie? (price TBD), a Frozen Custard which combines rich caramelised cookies and chunks of chocolate from local bean-to-bar chocolatier, Lemuel.

Then, there’s the Singapore-exclusive Pandan Shake ($8.30), where vanilla custard is blended with pandan and coconut, and topped with a gula melaka crumble. If you haven’t tried it, here’s your chance! Fair warning though: it’s best shared.

Be one of the first 100 people to show up at Shake Shack Bishan and stand to get exclusive merch, including a jigsaw puzzle with art by Aeropalmics.
