Si Chuan Dou Hua Has 20% Off CNY Dishes, Including Tiger Nian Gao And Pufferfish Yusheng With Edible Flowers

CNY Reunion With Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant

If you’re thinking of where to head to for your upcoming CNY reunion meal, consider having it at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant, or skip the crowds altogether by having it to-go. Known for their Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine, the restaurant group is offering an innovative Chinese New Year menu that features tiger-themed dishes and edible flowers for the first time. Takeaway dishes and set meals are also available, so you can celebrate the festivities with your family in the comfort of your home!

If you’re staying in, don’t miss the Lunar New Year Home Reunion Set A ($288++), which feeds up to four pax. The five-course bonanza, available for collection from the TOP of UOB Plaza branch, includes sumptuous must-haves such as the Steamed Glutinous Rice with Conpoy and Waxed Meat wrapped in Lotus Leaf

There’s also the Double-boiled French Spring Chicken Soup with Black Tiger’s Paw Mushroom and Conpoy, a hearty treat that sees nourishing black tiger’s paw mushrooms and dried scallops simmering in a rich chicken broth.

The Prosperity Smoked Salmon Yusheng with Fresh Greens in Yuzu Sauce is included in the take-home set, but if you want to jazz up your lohei experience, go for the Tiger-shaped Fugu Yusheng with Edible Flowers, Ice Plant & Fresh Greens ($198++), available for both dine-in and takeaway.

This visually appealing centrepiece comes with fugu, AKA pufferfish sashimi, hand-shaped in the face of a Tiger—especially apt for welcoming the new lunar Tiger year. Fun fact: Si Chuan Dou Hua is the first and only Chinese restaurant licensed to serve fugu in Singapore!

Light and refreshing with a zesty yuzu sauce, this yusheng also comes with fresh edible plants, namely Ulam Raja flowers and Sichuan peppercorn leaves. Specially harvested by local farm Petalicious, the beautiful Ulam Raja flowers add a tart green mango flavour, while the peppercorn leaves pleasantly warm up the palate.

If you’re paying a visit to the restaurant at PARKROYAL on Beach Road, try the Lobster in Hot & Spicy Sauce ($18++ per 100g), an outlet-exclusive dish that pays homage to its Sichuan roots. The meaty lobster soaks up the spicy sauce that boasts a numbing sensation and tingling aftertaste, making it the perfect dish for those who like mala and spicy food.

If you prefer Cantonese fare, head over to the PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road branch to enjoy the Stir-fried Egg White, Diced Abalone, Milk and Crab Meat served in Crab Shell ($48++), a luxurious combination of sweet crab meat, fresh crab roe, fluffy egg whites, and umami abalone, piled atop a crab shell for that wow factor.

No CNY gathering is complete without a dose of nian gao. A must-have at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant at the TOP of UOB Plaza is the Tiger-shaped Nian Gao ($12++ for three pieces), a bite-sized treat encased in chewy, mochi-like skin.

Sink your teeth into the adorable rice cake to reveal its soft and sweet nian gao filling. As it isn’t too sweet, it makes for a great dessert to wrap up your CNY feast.

Here’s even more reason to visit Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant: get 20% off festive goodies from 31 January to 15 February, or 15% off all festive a la carte takeaway items from now till 15 February. Click here to order online!

Alternatively, dine-in and enjoy 20% off the a la carte menu from 1 to 3 February when you pay with a UOB Card. UOB Cardmembers will also receive a Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky with a customised label with a minimum spend of $1,000 at the restaurant.
