Easties are in luck, as there’s a new pasar malam at Simei MRT Station, running from now till 18 August 2024! We spotted this news in an Instagram post by I Love Tampines.

Besides the regular pasar malam snacks such as Ramly burgers, you can look forward to some interesting additions, including a booth selling the viral coin cheese pancakes. These are filled with stretchy mozzarella cheese, so be sure to get your phone ready for the IG-worthy moment!

At the same stall, there’s an interesting Onigiri Wrap ($7). These are available in flavours such as Double Ebi Fry Wasabi Mayo, which combines fried prawns with a spicy and piquant wasabi-infused mayo sauce and pearl rice, tucked between a nori sheet.

There’s also the quintessential tutu kueh, priced at $4 for five pieces. These come with classic fillings such as coconut, chocolate, and peanut.

You’ll also find sweet treats such as bombolini AKA stuffed doughnuts from Biase Biase, in flavours such as Biscoff, Cream Cheese, and Choco Peanut.

That’s not all: you can get your fill of savoury snacks including Taiwanese fried chicken, crispy kunafe, and otah.

Don’t miss out on this food bazaar if you live in the area, as it only runs till 18 August!

Another must-visit food fair is Absolut Food Festival, which will make its way to Kallang from 16 August to 18 August this year with over 130 stalls, including food and retail brands from Malaysia and Singapore.

In related food news, McDonald’s Ha Cheong Gai Chicken Burger has returned for a limited time, so grab these burgers while they’re still on the menu!

Address: 30 Simei Street 3, Singapore 529888 (Next to Simei MRT Station)
Opening hours: TBD
